Please help me i know not about these troublesome cam belts. I am going to replace dented's cambelt. So, i go on service box- aha here is the cam belt kit part no. 83149. I place order, i arrive to collect order pay, get home then realise i have a box with 531R5written on it. Is this correct- does this supersede the other? I'm stressed already. The list price for the r5 kit is higher too. which numbers are for the 136 and which for 137 kit? Please your help greatly appreciated, dented is worried i will knacker him completely with wrong bits.

it's the superseded part instead of 831 49, as you can see on servicebox.

Parts just in a sealed box- should i rip it open and post a pic of the contents?

I looked on pug servicebox, so I'd say you've got the right bits aye, I'd open the box carefully, not rip it apart LOL

unlikely you'd get the old one unless you found old stock, I don't know the difference to the new number though, but you could enlighten us!

Ok- i open the box tonight and photograph. I note the Xsara 2 has another, different, part number listed for the "motor kit". It is certainly a recently manufactured part, box dated end of Feb this year. Its not a cheap part the "motor kit"- it retails for
