Whilst we're changing the engine in the track car I thought I'd also refurb the inlet manifold and associated bits and bobs. Can anyone help with how I can strip / rub down / prep the fuel rail as I'm a little worried about leaving in stripper to soak for fear of not being able to flush it out afterwards.

Bit anal I know but the refurb will look shit if I just paint over the rust and old paint.

I used a wire brush attatchment on my angle grinder and a small hand brush to get in the corners, it took ages though to get in all the bits

Sand blast it and then clean it through with an air line.

Finishing is your choice, you could spray it black again or go for something different such as electroplating.
