Is there one and if so where is it? Pulled all the ones in the fusebox and isn't any of them.

Main beam keeps is playing up - comes on and wont go off etc and new stalk hasn't cured it.

cheers

Have you checked the relays in the engine bay next to the ABS unit?
Think there is one in there for the headlights.

Also, not sure on later phases, but on phase 1, there is a big metal resistor in the passenger wing that controls the dip/main beam.
If you have it, then you will be able to see it after you remove the engine bay fusebox cover Smile

Couldn't see any relays inside the engine bay fusebox?? Not sure on the resistor - it's a phase 3

you have fuses, the first four in the small relay box inside the engine bay. i was trying to get to the bottom of an HID issue at weekend and the p3 has no relays for the headlights as far as i am aware. my phase1 does though

having said that there is a black relay in the engine bay compartment too but this looked like a fuel relay [or comparable to my bmw m3 fuel relay!]

get the multimeter out, sounds like a wiring issue somewhere or it could even be like the flasher unit being knackered Unsure

so it refuses to turn off full beam? does the stalk sound like it's turned it off full beam / light on the dash go out?? or flashing like the alarm?

I can't ever get it to do it when I'm there - this is all coming from my brother - it's his car. I'm starting to think he's talking crap and just leaving the lights on or something stupid! (although the lights on buzzer works so he would have to be even stupider than he is to do that!!!)

He says sometimes he flashes people or goes on full beam and it won't then turn off. His other story is he locks up the car and walks off and no lights are on - he then comes back later and his battery is flat and his lights are on. It just doesn't add up to me.

Ok guys help needed on this one again. It's obviously something to do with the wet weather as its been 100% fine for 4 or 5 months now and has just started draining the battery again. I'm not convinced its a fault with the lights that does it but that seems the obvious place to start? Anything anyone can think of that could cause this problem when its damp/wet?
