Hello Guys

I have been coming here for a while reading and soaking up the wealth of knowledge you guys have.
Thought it was time i joined in
My beloved GTI6 has had a little problem...well ok its not so little
I have owned it from new and it has only managed 38k ish miles
and have been putting off the cam belt change for a while
Well Thursday it snapped! luckily? at almost idle and not at the redline
its not looking too bad with only 8 bent valves and very little in the way of marks on the pistons

So I am gonna replace the 4 inlet and 4 exhaust valves the head gasket the inlet and exhaust gaskets waterpump and the timing belt kit.
Anything else I should be aware of??
Thanks
Ash...

From all the horror stories I've heard on here I'd change all the valves, just to be on the safe sideSmile

I'd do all valves AND guides personally to make sure it's alright when it goes back together.

Not when Pug suggest leaving it until 50k+ to change them.
