Hi guys, Im having a strange situation with my A/C. Since this morning, no cold air is coming from vents when I turn on A/C. Green light is on, compressor kicks in, fans work at slow speed, but no cold air comes form the vents, just "normal" air!!! I`vhe checked, fuses, connectors, blower, etc, and cannot find the reason why this is happening? Any ideas?Best, |

It sounds like all the electrics are working fine.Seems to be enough gas in the system to let the compressor kick in but I would have that checked as the first port of call. (So have it re-gassed - they'll pressure check the system at the same time) ________________________________________ Volvo XC60 SE Lux Premium AWD + Appearance Packs + Various Options |

Yes Richard, everything seems to be ok. I can even se the gas passing thru the small bottle that is in the left part of the bay. Do you know if there is there any element that can be stucked and could be the reason why only "outisde" air ir comming in? Because Ive tried to see if "dry" air comes out when you set the temperature to hot and A/C on, but no effect. It seems just outside normal air.Best, |

I would say its either going to be lack of gas (Definately get this checked)OR the evapourator which is behind the dash. This can fail but typically doesnt because there's not much too it. The gas shouldnt get blocked, there isnt anything in the system that would block it apart from the filter but that shouldnt block it either. Out of curiosity, I assume the temperature where you are isnt 3C or below? Aircon wont come on if this is the case. ________________________________________ Volvo XC60 SE Lux Premium AWD + Appearance Packs + Various Options |

Leave it in the garage this afternoon. They just call back and said gas was to low to cold air but just enough to kick in compressor. Im gonna pick it up in an hour. They have put a "tint" in the gas to let them know where is leaking. I hope is not the evaporator! Thanks Richard! |

it sounds like the expansion valve, this causes the drop in pressure to give you your cold air, get it checked by a air con technician and they will be able to tell bt the high and low pressure gauges ________________________________________ if i dont see you in the mattress il see you in the spring |
