Hello all you clever people.Well over the last month, my car has been off the road while a few things were sorted such as brakes, tyres, exhaust repair and air con removal.
After getting the car back for a little over 24 hours, it dies on me
I was driving along happily until there was a slight kind of blip, where it cut the power (accelerator pedal felt like engine was turned off) but only for a second. Drove fine for the next few miles. As I approached some traffic lights, i put my foot down to go though them on green, and there was nothing to the pedal. Wouldn't let me accelerate, and as momentum was lost, the car cut out.
Since then, I have not been able to start it. The battery is fine and all of the lights appear on the dash as they should, and there is no warning lights.
The car will crank over just fine, but when turning the ignition, the fuel pump is not priming, so it's not getting fuel and not starting.
I have tried a few things such as:
- Checked earths, battery terminals
- checked fuel filter (as this was just changed)
- pressed fuel cut off switch
- checked wires and that double function relay is secure
- checked all fuses
- replaced crank sensor
- replaced fuel pump
I have a double function relay on the way, but after that, I'm getting a bit stuck as to what it would be
Don't see why it would make a difference, but the only things that have changed is the PAS relocation, and the centre silencer has been removed from my exhaust so it is now straight through.
Any ideas/help will be greatly appreciated
