Having a bit of a nightmare here guys so need some advice

Car is a 95 s16...

I dipped the clutch and the pedal didnt come back up
Cable was intact
Pin from the clutch lever on the top of the box was found to be missing
Pin was replaced
Clutch cable then seemed to be miles too long and wasn't disengaging the clutch properly and the biting point was right at the bottom

Now i've replaced the cable and the action is really stiff with the pedal sticking instead of returning properly, now before this entire episode the pedal did use to stick a bit but always return. Does it sound like the clutch is the fault here???? I'm 99.9% certain the new cable is installed/routed correctly

really at the end of my tether with this now, fitted a new clutch and its exactly the same Any ideas? The pedal feels ok unless the engine is running, clutch still bites too low and the pedal is really stiff/reluctant to lift back up on its own Angry Angry

I just want to smash it to bits right now

self adjust or auto adjust cable?

sounds like possibly seized cross shaft/fork bushes or knackered pressure plate.
