hello i tryed a seach and couldnt find what i wanted. how do you lock the crank shaft in place to remove cam belt?________________________________________ Team 205 gti-6 |

i think you can also block it via the flywheel if you are removing the crank pulley. |

Yeah, the correct Peugeot procedure includes locking the flywheel at the top of the gearbox but this requires a special tool so most people just use the locking point on the pulley. Once the belt is off the bottom end won't move on its own.There is a risk of the aluminium casting breaking this way though, due to how tight the pulley bolt is. If you have someone who can help then you can use a long screwdriver to hold the flywheel from the top of the gearbox. The best method of removal is with an air ratchet though. ________________________________________ Rich |
