Right, I got my HIDs today, fitted them and when i tested them only one worked, so I'm getting a new one sent out to me, but I've now put a normal bulb in (which I know is a good working bulb ) and this doesn't want to work either now All fuses are good, and I've even tried another spare bulb which was brand new and that doesn't work either - and the car's not blowing them, so I'm a bit baffled! Any help?________________________________________ Bianca White 306 GTI-6White Mazda RX-7 FC3S Team Nurburgring |

for the lights i belive its earthed on the passanger wing but i doubt that would cause just one light too fail normaly get flickering or dimming your not really gonna get much joy without having a multimeter at hand really sounds more like a broken connector or break in the wire somewhere . . . |

Alright there Dan, hope Bianca is treating you well I have an intermittent fault with my passenger side headlight where only the sidelight comes on. The drivers side is fine though. Try taking the cover off the back of the light and wiggling the connector to the bulb. Works for me ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 |

Yeah, because they both share a common earth, so I kinda thought this too, but I've gotta check it all really. After messing around with it for ages and trying a load of things, I think it's most likely a break in the wire/connector somewhere, which is gonna be a huge pain to locate greenbelt wrote: Alright there Dan, hope Bianca is treating you well I have an intermittent fault with my passenger side headlight where only the sidelight comes on. Works for me Yup, she's treating me alright (with the exception of when these little things go wrong ) - how's your conversion coming? Got the magnex on it yet? There's been a lot of wiggling and fiddling lol, but I've managed to find nothing wrong with the connector anywhere, so I'm pretty sure there's either something wrong with the wiring somewhere, or another connector, it's just gonna be annoying to locate! ________________________________________ Bianca White 306 GTI-6White Mazda RX-7 FC3S Team Nurburgring |

for what it's worth, HID ballasts are 50% broken on arrival due to cheap shitty ones from abroad. i bought a 6k set and one ballast is being pretty lazy and sometimes won't come on for about 2 minutes or flickers on. i might try swapping the actual xenon bulbs from side to side but a new ballast is what is really needed.. one with a guarantee reallyif you are having an issue with going back to normal bulbs then obviously look elsewhere. get a multimeter on it, check earth etc ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

The earth is fine as it shares a common earth and the other light works, but I've located the problem by using the normal negative on the plug to the bulb, and then a wire directly from the battery, and the bulb worked, so it's definitely a problem with the positive/power.The loom goes into a sheath and then into the wing, which then goes under the car in an even bigger sheath with a few sets or wiring inside, and I have no idea where to start or where might be the most likely. There's a lotta wires to follow in annoying places! I use my car at night quite a lot so I need to get this fixed ________________________________________ Bianca White 306 GTI-6White Mazda RX-7 FC3S Team Nurburgring |

correct the loom goes to the radiator cowling and then under the front slam panel along the bottom and back up into the driver side wheel arch, then through the suspension turret into the corner of the dashboardit is a fecker to remove if you haven't done it before as it involves removing a fair few bits ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

I don't even know how I'll be able to find it unless a wire is obviously broken/burnt. When you say corner of the dashboard, do you mean into the corner where the bottom under the glovebox can be removed? Or all the way through behind the dash? God I hope the dash doesn't have to come out for me to find it ________________________________________ Bianca White 306 GTI-6White Mazda RX-7 FC3S Team Nurburgring |
