Right this isn't a question about a GTI-6.. My mum has a 1.8 306 Merdian (2000 W) and the engine fans are constantly on, which they didnt do when she got the car, just wondering if this is a fan fault or electrical fault and if anyone can shed some light on the problem as said they are ALWAYS on even when engine is off and ignition turn on

you could try cleaning up the contacts but i would say changing it might be the best option

one of the sensors ( i think the green one) near the thermostat has gone faulty. i had the same problem. try taking it off and re connecting it, this shud shut down the fans or cause interferance. change this sensor and all should be well.
