i got a standard 1998 6, can anyone link and suggest an air filter that would up the bhp for me? thanks in advance

nope, in reality you wont see any significant gain from them, apart from more noise that is.

ah ok i just figured it would be best to ask some people more experienced before i did anything. what about a new exhaust set?

depends what your budget is really. The most bhp you can hope to gain without serious work is an enclosed air filter system, with a decat/sports cat and a full new sports exhaust system.

even then, the gains may only be by about 10bhp lol

and that is already nearly 400 quid
