1 in 5 pins will come out. Most are seized in and wont budge even when being attacked on the bench. If pin is seized, bend arm upwrads, this will allow enough movemnet to remove box from car. Once the box is out you can dislocate the arm and punch the pin out from behind (be carefull not to damage casing). If it still wont budge then grind the arm off carefully. This will allow you to completely remove the shaft and punch pin out with it in the vice, you will then have to get a new top arm. had to do this a few times now |

ime telling you how to get the box out if you have given up getting the pin out. Most pins i come to are near impossible to get out even with the gearbox out of the car. I will leave you to find your own method of removing the box with the pin still in. |

I wouldn't re-fit the pin once you eventually get round to fitting the box back on, you can either tap a hole through the shaft and use a allen bolt to hold the arm on, or weld a nut on the back of the arm and use a allen bolt through the shaft. Will need to grind the casing away if using the nut method though!________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |

i wish whoever did the clutch on mine had refitted this right... it ejected itself on saturday as i was changing down the gears on the motorway slip road! Upside is i thought the pressure plate had died so its a cheaper fix than i thought lol |

You could take the gearbox off like I did Undo all the bolts so its loose try to pull it off whilst still being confused as why it wont come off, then loose your rag and just pull it as hard as you can until it pops off OPPSS!!! Slight downside is you pull the release bearing off the pressure plate |
