So im happily fittin my 6x9s today with my sub and amp when all of a suddent the amp cuts out due to overload woopdydoo basil so im confuzzled turn it all off and it wont come back on so i start checkin fuses the remote for the amp power is fine the one in the radio is fine so im even more confused.com by now so i look at the fuses under the dash and low and behold theres a broken one so i change it and its still dead so i think oh il quickly try wiring it from the bootlight once again the amp works fine and dandy then again dies so i check the fuses again an theres no problems so i give up from the night go to start my car and it turns over fine but just wont start not sure what ive done any ideas?? (all electrics apart from the bootlid light (no power there) and the power cable for the amp are working any advice would be great cheers guys!!

Oh and i though it could be the immobiliser is this possible??

only thing I could suggest mate is see if there have been more than 1 fuse blown?
does it not even try to turn over?
try an ecu reset maybe??

Sounds like the immobiliser to me. All depends on if its trying to turn over or just clicking.

Do you have standard or aftermarket immob?

boot light circuit shares the same circuit with the immobiliser, clock and oil gauges on engine. If fuse has blown then car will be immoblised. Replace fuse and leave the boot light alone

you wouldn't be trying to wire a sub into the boot light would you?Blink

you need to be running a cable direct from the Battery terminal strait to your boot not wiring anything like that into the car circuitry Doh

All sorted now was a 5amp fuse under the dash LOL shame these suggestions came to late would have made the job way quicker!!
