Hi I have an 2002 306 estate, Meridian SE, the torsion bar is very low and the bearings are knackered {wheels leaning in}, what I need to know is, can I take the torsion bar from my 1999 1.8 Meridian hatchback and swap it with the estate? The cam belt snapped so its scrap anyway, the pads, discs and calipers are identical so that |

Welcome to the club The beams can be swapped over but you will need to swap the torsion bars over as well to maintain the same ride quality. Look out for the vultures who will offer you 20p for the torsion bars from the estate beam ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 |

Hi, oh that's the last thing I would have thought of, what do the 2 bars do?, its just my luck, they are a night mare to get out, do I need some kind of puller for this? are they expensive? I dont mind buying one as I dont trust any garages touching my car. Thanks |

The torsion bars adjust the ride height and they can be a real nightmare to get out of the trailing arms. You can make up a tool using a couple of large washers, a 30mm socket and some threaded rods... I used wd40, a blowtorch and a BFOH ________________________________________ Standard Black 6Black HBSC6 |
