Any ideas of what is the best air filter for noise and performance, seen a ramair on ebay, thanks

Fit a K&N E9000 tube filter into the factory box and trim the top of the pipe under the bonnet so it takes air in from under the bonnet lip instead of down in front of the radiator.

Sure, will be quieter than a pod system but you'll lose your low/mid revs torque by going to a pod - even with cold air feed.

I know. I done it on a couple of cars now. Unless you're going forced induction, in most situations, a quality oiled cotton after market panel or tube in the factory box with associated resonators, is best by far.

I've been playing with my intake system on my car over the last few days. Tonight I put the factory system back in my car and it made a very noticeable improvement in pulling power in the 2.5k revs area. The pod didn't really work until just over 4k revs.Everything below that was flat and weak with the pod.
