Hi, i found this forum the other day when my front wipers packed up, i have a 1998 glx tdi, with rain sensors.

The Wipers packed up during the heavy snow, i followed the guides in here, removed motor, unclogged drain hole which was FULL!! Still didnt help, i bought a new wiper motor off ebay (i think seller sold me a left hand motor LOL ) I fitted this, and they worked fine, for 5mins!! Sad They stopped during heavy rain.

I have opened the fuse box, and the relays are clicking as if they want the wipers to work, but nothing happens.

Is there anything else i need to be doing, im tearing my hair out!!!!!

Did you take the motor apart to check the condition of the internal parts? Mine was full of water& muck, and one of the 3 little prongs had snapped off. Soldered a bit of wire in it's place and they're working again
