My heater fan sounds as if it's got something stuck in it, and if you leave it for too long it packs up and then won't come back on again. Not ideal at the moment.

Now I've looked under the glovebox and see the unit itself (which is a Valeo one if that makes any difference) and can easily find 3 screws which look as if they're holding it in, but the bas**rd thing seems to be held in by something else as well. Angry

Also, unlike the unit which justinaccurate showed in his mini FAQ, my unit doesn't have a single screw in the end of the motor to uncouple it from the rest of the housing but appears to have 2 screws. Would the fan just slide out if I undid those 2 and nothing else?
