hi! I need some advice on a gti 6 cylinder head that I bought off ebay. I think that the head has been skimmed.. wouldn't mind knowing how much has been taken off? does anyone know any ways of checking? also..
around the ports on the cylinder head it has a couple little digs! Sad and also some rather nasty marks/digs corrosion... not quite sure how to explain it... but around a couple oil/water channels? has anyone else had this? and will it still be useable? will try and get some pictures up.
any help or advice would be much appreciated!!

I'd take it to a cylinder head specialist, you've got Sandy Brown and Mark Shillaber not a million miles from you in Launceston.

you can check how much has been taken off be measuring the height of the head, stick some pics up and someone might be able to advise about the damage.
