I have always had to open my boot by the key since i had my car but it should be unlocked when the car is unlocked so i looked and saw that the motor on the pic below is not connected to anything so i went to a scrapyard and the guy gave me a rod but i can't see what this connects to as there is already a rod going from the key barrel to the lock. Can anyone show me any pics of the lock and how this supposed to be set.

If you're really struggling I'll give you a hand next time I'm home. I'm only in Wybunbury. I don't have any pics unfortunately.

Is there a little arm thingy on the lock? My memory is pretty hazy.

Is there another hole on the triangle thingy? it is a rod that goes from the actuator to something to move a triangle thing. (That has to be the worst description ever)

If you pull that retaining clip off you should be able to pull the plastic part off.

There should only be one hole on that part anyway.
Looks like someone had drilled a new hole in that as a temp fix because the plastic had snapped from the original hole.

One end of the bar slots into the hole on the motor and the other end attaches to the hole in the boot lock assembly Smile

Look at where they are on the tailgate and it will be obvious how they link together Thumbs up

Ya i know what your saying but that hole on the pic above has a rod connected to it and the rod goes left towards the passanger side of the boot and connects to somthing else, When i put the key in the keyhole and turn it the rod going left moves a catch and opens the boot.

Here is a close up. IT screws to the lock and is attached to the latch by a rod.

smegal has attached the following image:
