I am wondering if its ok to put a fuel pressure gauge in the return line instead of the Feed.

The feed will be 10mm and the return will be 8mm, not sure if that matters.

Cheers in advance

Its a mechanical RMD gauge.
The reason why I am asking is I worked out what aeroquip connectors I needed a few weeks ago and ordered the bulk head fittings so I could drill them and fit them, but when I got them I put the weld on ends against the fuel rail and saw that the return is onyl 8mm, so if I use 8mm for the return, 1 it will cost less and 2 will give me more room for the weld on fittings on the fuel rail and will make it easier to weld.

I was looking at buying a bulk head t- peice to run the gauge and ordered 3 8an(10mm) bulk head fittings as Alex doesnt stock the t-piece bulk head fittings, so instead of having to sell 2 8an bulk head fittings, if I could put the gauge in the return will mean I can utilise what I have.
