insurance says i have to have a cat 2 thatcham approved fitted or they wont insure me.they have sent the documentation through and it just says "full make and model of immob Approx date of fitment Name and address of fitters and their qualifications No of immobiliser keys in posetion" ________________________________________ 309 GTi6-T |

in my experience the installer will need to be certified by the manufacturer of the the immobiliser. or you can get him to fit it, and then have it certified by a local installer, i had this done and it cost me |

Just get the alarm installed by your lecturer, and then take it to a approved installer to certify - some of them are a bit funny about doing home installed alarms, so best saying something like you bought the car by the certificate was missing.
