My car's been a bit dodgy today. Went to start it this morning and the lights on the dash and the radio came on ring as normal. Fuel pump primed. Turned the key to start... Absolutly nothing! Clock reset and the dials went round to 120mph for a bit then back to zero but not even an attempt at a crank.

Opened the bonnet and disconnected the battery and connected again and it started fine Dry

Went to drive home from work tonight and it did exactly the same Crazy

Any ideas? Immobiliser? I know the battery isn't the strongest but the fact it started fine after disconnecting the battery is strange.

Thanks Smile

sounds like what mine did shortly before the main gearbox earth lead fell off!

try running a couple of earths from the shell to the engine and whatnot, won't do any harm, or atleast check your existing earths

I'm, ahem, working from home until it's fixed Dry

Yep if the battery turned the car over fine, it will be an earth.
