Right, long story but here goes.

Back in December I hit a kerb sideways Whistle and only the back wheel actually hit the kerb. It bent the N/S stub pin axle quite badly, which i've only just got round to replacing now.

Thing is, the car only drives straight when the steering wheel is slightly left. Replacing the stub axle straightened it up a bit, but at any speed the car still is pulling to the right slightly when the wheel is straight. Everything at the back is lined up nicely (trailing arm, bearings etc).

When I accelerate hard the car straightens up, then when i back off and especially when turning left the front end seems to "snap" quite badly. I replaced the O/S ball joint about 4 months ago, and the "pulling" of the front end felt very very similar to this. I'm thinking shite balljoint, but..

Would that make the steering be out of line? Bearing in mind I can feel the steering wheel straighten up during acceleration?

Right just had another play with it, there's play on the nearside track rod end, guessing that would cause the wandering and the mis-aligned steering wheel?
