Anyone know of a project involving an XU10J4RS being put into a 406 Coupe at all?

IIRC it was the EW's and not the XU's that were fitted to the coupe. The saloons had the XU10J4R. No idea on the inter-compatibility of the XU's and EW's, but at a guess I'd say it's harder to go from EW to XU because of the angle difference, though if it's big enough for a factory fit V6, it's big enough for an XU!

Cool, i hadnt thought of the angle issue No Just wondering if a high boost engine might be better suited in a coupe, although it would probably be better charging the V6.

there's a normal 2.0 coupe with the 16v xsi engine in [xu10j4r]. slowness

you could just buy the 2.0 one and bang the gti6 engine in it, some v6 4pots or something..

bit boring though. what about a berlingo van with a charged six engine LOL that'll be what route i go down when i get bored of 306's

LOL The berlingo would be cool, a mate used to have one and the roll was hilarious, never used the jesus handles so much Laugh

Thats interesting about the 2.0 litre coupe, that would be an easier swap as you say Yes Will have to look into it Ninja

There was a guy at FCS 09 in the paddock that had some form of Renault van (kind of berlingo size) that had an RS Turbo lump in it.

Went pretty well Yes

Funnier thing was when I was chatting to him in the paddock, he said he used it as his daily van Blink

Yes the early 2.0 coupes used the XU10J4R. Walking was faster tbh but it would make for an easy transplant. Yes

I seen that, real nice looking van, Renault extra thing, basically a 5 with a van on the back.
