as above, got the head off my engine at the moment, if I can afford it I will whip the pistons out and off to Martin at Bridgecraft engineeding for some deeper cutouts then I will need new rings before they go back in.

can anyone recommend a supplier apart from peugeot?

Yes, no thanks to anyone on here LOL

local supplier blew anyone else I had asked out of the water with their very reasonable prices for piston tings, though I used o.e big ends and mls gasket.

I found the victor reinz gasket at gsf for £40, you know, same as the ones sold here fof £80+...

Arent vauxhall c20let piston rings the ones to use these days?

Not any cheaper but the top ring from the c20/z20xe does fit.
