what are the best combination of dampers and springs for trackday use? what sort of lowering am i looking for from the springs?

this coupled with lowering the rear beam - will this be a good enough set up?

Billie B8's seem to be the shocks of choice and what I'm going for when I can be arsed to order them.Couple them with Eibach springs (which lower ~30mm) and you'll be fine.

these B8's, are they the ones with the big pistons? or just normal OE type jobbies?

OE type but firmer and with shorter rods on the fronts.

They're a good compromise for a road / track car but TBH they're a little too soft for focused track car.

I would say KW V2 coilovers with a stiffer spring would be a great front setup for track.

Also thicker rear arb and Koni/KW rear dampers without breaking the bank.

I have Avo dampers with Eibach springs on a 30mm drop, and seems like a good fast road/trackday setup.

There is adjustable damping control so you can set it differently from track and road.

The eibach / Bilstein B8 combo is a good one. Couple that with new beam bushes, new P bushes and a SPOOX/Ash hybrid ARB and it'll work very well. Might be a little soft for a track only car - you really want to be spending a bit/lot more and getting a good coilover setup (KW/AST).

Also invest in some lightweight 15" x 7" wheels with the correct offset
