1998 Phase 2 D Turbo (S Reg)

Constantly stuck on 140+ mph! The Oddo meter still works and counts mileage

What i have done so far;

1) Reset the fuse, worked for about 20 mins, then back to 140

2) Disconnected battery

3) Cleaned connectors by battery;

4) Checked deal connectors behind dials in dash;

(only 2, yellow and blue one)

my rev counter works fine, seems to be electric speedo NOT cable? If that is case presume i would just need speed speedo sensor unit NOT combined speed & rev counter as listed here?
