After stripping the wiring loom down in my track rallye I discovered the clocks won't work and keeps blowing fuses and the car will not start, I have decided to put a new interior loom in, my car has a ph2 fusebox but the central locking control unit is under the drivers seat so I presume it's a ph3 loom, will a ph2 loom work?

Im sure rallye's have ph2 looms.

My ph2 loom has the central locking unit under the back seat, it got a bit damp one day and kept locking the doors LOL

Why do you presume that?

The rallye's are phase 2 cars and therefore have phase 2 looms.

i thought that ph2 had the central locking module under the rear seat and ph3 had it under the drivers seat?

No, it varies between 3 and 5 door models of phase 1 & 2.

The phase 3 uses a single security ECU in the dash that combines the alarm, central locking and immobiliser.

In theory yes Yes

I can't see a GTi-6 one being different to a rallye one, but there's no guarantee with these things!

never second guess Rich E. his brain is like a tin of expanding foam and if he doesn't school you to death, his ever growing Peugeot brain is sure to crush you against a wall and suffocate you. some say he eats ECU's and timing pulleys on toast, but all we know, is he's called Rich E
