Over the past few months my exhaust has started banging LOUDLY into something under moderade/hard acceleration, so I suspect somethings not right with the engine mounts. I see a load of threads on this here - but how early do these break? My car has done approx 80K kilometres, it's a 199/2000 model.
Do I need any special tools to change the parts, or is it a nice DIY job? Which mounts should I swap? It's -20C and very dark outside, and my garage isn't complete yet, so I'll try to make the car survive for a month or two more.

I'm not too experienced when it comes to working on PUGs as the 5 I've had previously have been very reliable apart from brakes and roll bar bushes, but well used to many other cars. Thanks for any help & guidelines.

In Norway, but will gladly shop from the UK.
