Were very lucky and have state of the art facilities to build our track weapon

our mole

the plan is to lift the engine and gearbox out and fit it to the second gti 6 we have purchased.

The engine in the second 6 has done 100k and is still very strong however the mole engine and box are mint and has very little mileage.

Both cars in view

mikey starts stripping the interior

tom removes the front bumper and the starts removing all the bits in the way

great care is taken to remove the sitcom bits and bobs

all the front end removed

started at 4 ish and finished just at 8 ish.

Planning to get the track car in next to start on removing the engine. We hope to have the engine swop done by this time next week and the we can start setting her up.

Do they actually fit...?

If it works a 1.9 box with a Mi16 final drive is the way forward. Might need to raise the rev limit on certain tracks though.

Or stick with the 6 box!
