How much of a job is it to change the crank bearings on a GTi-6? ________________________________________

The big end shells are relatively easy and can be done in situ (providing there is no damage to the journals). Remove the sump, windage tray and oil pump and then do the shells cylinder by cylinder.You'll need the engine out to change the main bearing shells though, but if the engine is already out they're not a lot more work than the big ends. ________________________________________ Rich |
