Hi there i recently brought a 2.0 XSI on a W Reg, and everytime i just tapp the accelerator the revs go up to about 2000 revs and stick for a couple of seconds, they also play up when changing gears, any one know what the problem may be |

Probably the Throttle Position Sensor on the throttle body is buggered. Also check the throttle butterfly will move freely as it might be sticking on some gunk. Finally check the spring on the butterfly too.________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Check the Icv/stepper motor also. Giving it a good clean will usually cure problems caused by this.________________________________________ Ryan |
