Argh i've had enough of this damn weather. Last Thursday my car hit ice and the back end swung and hit the kerb sideways, bending the nearside stub axle pin on the trailing arm, giving about 10-15degrees of camber at the wheel.

Given the fact it's a 130k beam and it's never been dismantled before, what's my best course of action?

Can't afford a recon'd beam given the baby's due in 2 months, and my excess on insurance is

If it's just a stub axle you need then I have a spare one. If you are careful pulling the hub off then the bearing will stay in one piece. Of course, this is assuming that your trailing arm isn't bent. Sad

Nah the bearing split. Bit annoying.

Spoke to Pugplus, think i'm getting a whole rear beam dependent on condition. Would be easier to do than even replacing the stub axle, all the bolts rounded off with little to no torque applied to them.

Nice P1 Cool

i would imagine certain tools that may be used / processes also used that the bearing will not stay in one piece, and i feel cable ties in this instance will not be adequate Whistle

Mat, you got it in one. Can't find anywhere to cable tie it to.

Bearings are in good nick by the looks of things though LOL
