Dear All,
I did search, but S16s are not really covered.
So.
Seems my fans will not come on at low speed (97C) only at high speed (107C).
The AC switch also does not switch on the low speed fans, although the compressor does engage (clicks).
Not sure though if the AC should turn on the fans at temps like -8C.
On an S16, where is the GTIs "brown" plug?
Any ideas on what to check?
Swapped the relays but no change in operation.

OK, did some keyhole surgery to get to the connector.
Pulled it off, and the left vent came on only, but that at full speed.
Plugged it back, and the vent stopped like right away.

sounds like you either have a dead relay or a dead fan Smile

More troubleshooting:
Relays OK (swapped them over to no avail)
Fuses OK (inspected one by one)
So its 99% the vent.
Can those be swapped one by one or the whole frame + 2 vents must come out and be swapped altogether?

They can be changed individually. But they are a b*tch to change. The 3 bolts do not have captive nuts, so prepare to cut your hands to shreds.
Also, they are a Pug only part at about

Wish I could say that - but I suppose northern parts of England might be cooler even in the summer Smile
As said, summer here usually gets to 35-40C, winters often see -15-20C...
