anyone know what size normal master cylinder bore is for s16, m reg

22.2mm, smaller than the gti6+xsara and the zx 16v which use 23.8mm.

What size is the 406 m/cyl on the V6 with brembos?

23.8mm across the range, regardless of caliper used.

if i was to run the 4pot brembos will i have to uprate my cylinder to the 23.8 mm or can i keep my 22.2 mm one?

Try them and see. With servo assistance the master cylinder size only really affects the pedal travel.

If you feel you're getting too much travel then switch to the larger one.

Superb, thanks.

That would explain why the pedal is nice and firm on my Rover 220 with 406 Brembos as I have 23.8mm standard mcyl. Smile
