Hi, i'm onto my second Rallye now and it is the second one that has had a squeaky interior fan. The squeak tends to be quieter on speeds 3 and 4 but it is getting a bit annoying now having to have the fan whacked up....

I didn't fix it on my first Rallye but i really need to take a look at it now...

Could it be that the bearing / bearings in the fan need lubricating?

If so, any ideas how i go about this? Are there any guides on how to gain access to it on here?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

it is the bearing, what i did with mine was to squirt some wd-40 down there and that got rid of it.

Dont know if its the best long term solution though Razz

Would it be better to use some grease?

Thanks guys, what's the best way to gain access to the bearing? Can i just take a cover off or do i have to take the whole motor out?

Cheers

search? think there's some stuff about it in FAQ

edit:
Me myself put some Teflon spray in the bearings and it has worked ever sense.

And its only 3 screws to get it out from underneath the glow box.
