Hi all,

Is there anyway of telling what Brembos i have?
LOL Strange request i know lol. They ones i have look very similar to some Lotek had up for sale a while back iirc.

Any ideas?

The pads i got with them have this on them...

So my thinking is there 406 calipers? Have measured the discs tho and they seem to be 288mm? Crazy

(Sorry for poor pic quality, taken with an Iphone Ninja )

seeing as it says 406 coupe on the pads box I'd say so....

calipers look right, decent swaged end on the hose too.

288mm discs sound like C5 ones, so the right ones for a straight fit on a 306.

Correct, they won't fit with cyclones. There's no issue with the disc and caliper height clearance but you need about 20mm more spoke clearance than cyclones give.

Damn such small fractions make such a differance eh?

Will these be suitable (with good discs/pads) for possible high boost? Or will another upgrade need to be made?

How about 207gti discs?
They're 302x26, would they need a bracket made up?
Does a bracket need to be made for 406 discs?

don't think they'll fit as they're too large a diameter, as well as being too narrow.

didn't get a chance to check properly when I fitted Adam's brembos, but I do believe the lugs on a 405/6 hub are further out by about 7mm, hence the use of a smaller diameter disc.

no brackets required to use the 406 caliper as they are a lug fitment not radial like the renfault brembo and wilwood calipers.

I already have the 406 brembos with xantia discs on mine, was just wondering if brackets would be needed for those Smile

they don't fit, very wrong offset.

standard 406 v6 disc is 305 x 28, and only 28mm tall, i.e pretty much zero offset.

c5/xantia disc is

288 x 28 and 34.2mm tall, 6mm more offset than a 406 hub+disc, and 17mm lower diameter, 8.5mm radius.
