Decided today to get my act together and see if i could solve my rough idle issues.

Thought i may as well check the spark plugs to see if any of them were faulty, got to the last one and had problems removing it.

Stuck my head down and with a torch found this (see attached) - There is no bolthead on the sparkplug! Its completely round, never seen this before. Doesn't look like anything has been rounded off either. God knows how im going to remove it and check it.

Is this a type of plug ive not yet come across or am i missing something really obvious?

Help is greatly appreciated!

i could be completely wrong but is that not the rubber insert off of a spark plug socket, they quite often fall off and get forgotten.
if it is some long nose pliers to remove it would be handy, then you carry on as usual.

If it was the rubber seal, would that be the cause as it would be preventing the coil pack fitting the plug properly?
