Hi all, just wondering how big a job it is to swap the standard 138 gti lump with a 180? I know its not a 306 but would still appriciate help as can't seem to find any info on it? You can buy the complete engines for around the

You'll need the 180 loom & ECU, cat, lambda's etc and as long as yours is a multi-plexed car, it will go right in. If its a pre-plexed its gonna cost alot, as you either need a complete car loom from the 180, or run aftermakked management.

Have searched it the best i can but they all seem to think its better to just buy a 180? How can you tell if its a multi or pre plexed car? It's a 1999 gti 138.

Pre-plexed then which means alot more work or alot more cash!

180's can be brought for

or u could always buy a 6 as there quicker, and you are asking about a 206 car and engine in a 306 forum so beware ... nasty comments so to speak

Hanpug thanks for info. Was just curious! Sk3tch thats what i'm after now! I know its a 306 forum but been on here nearly 3 years and have had a couple 6's already, been on other sites but mostly full of idiotic chavs, this one being the only site for true answers!
