Dead battery? Just because the alternator is charging doesn't mean the battery is holding it.

Failing that, starter motor sticking maybe?

Edit: Beat me to it!

would a dodgy starter be killing the battery, battery is new but got it online it was good for a week or so could it still be faulty tho

Starter would only be a possible problem, as stated, if it was sticking, if this was the case the engine wouldn't turn over, it wouldn't drain the battery if faulty. Were you having charging / starting problems before the new battery was fitted? Have you got some crazy device plugged into the cigarette lighter?

When you go to start from cold, turn all of the car electricals on, then try and start - if all your lights dim and the starter motor clickes then the battery is fooked, if the lights all stay bright and the starter just clicks then its starter motor time.

Check the battery terminals are on ok and also check the earth points, the main one on top of the gearbox can cause all kinds of issues.

Check the wiring to the alternator as well. Could well be that if the battery is charging ok outside of the car. I know you've checked the voltage but even so...
