Where do you get the cheapest abs sensors, i always got them cheap from local factors but they want 73quid plus carrage for fornts and dont list rears!!

its for a 98 R 106 GTi, not sure if i need front or back, wont no till ive had the computer on it.

euro car parts are 60 for fronts and 48 for rear, who else should i try??

Those prices are about right for Bosch sensors Yes

You could try another Bosch stockist and see what they're offering, but generally speaking these do cost a fair bit.

When you say you've got them cheap in the past what have you paid and for what brand?

no idea what brand but for the rallye i was only 27quid for front sensors, so i thought thats steap for a 106!! i dont mind what brand i buy as long as they work.

You can test the sensors without having to have a computer stuck on the car. If you have the data available, you can stick a multimeter across the corresponding pins of the ABS ECU multiplug to read the resistance. If not, unplug each sensor in turn and measure the resistance. Save yourself a diagnostics charge for a few minutes with a multimeter.

ive got a snap on ethos diagnostic tester, so i wont have to pay for that. but im just after a cheap sensor, just think it was mad i could get 1 for my rallye for 27 quid an a 106 gti 1 is 73 quid from same supplier!!

what sort of price is gsf?

how much abuse do tehse take?? as when i was removing my rear ones i had to put a lot of force on them to get them to move, when it went i thought it had snapped!!
