i've had a search through but nothing seems to be specifc for my level of ignorance. where the hell are the bleed points for the 6? i can't find any of them and none of the pictures or descriptions help. they all talk about screws and bolts i've never heard of!!

open bonnet look at radiator right side on top theres a plastic tap thats one. next one is a 5mm allen key on top of thermostat housing. next one is next to brake fluid resivoir near exhaust heat shield theres a tyre valve cap thats the third.

I'd advise using a home made header tank as i tried for over an hour and couldnt get the thing to bleed, then realised i forgot what they said on here, used the header idea and after a few mins all 3 points bled and the heating toasty hot =D

you can also (if you have two jacks) jack the front of the car right up and bleed it. It makes the filler higher than the heater matrix bleed screw.Whistle

Or just find a nice steep hill. To be fair a 2L bottle will do it fine and you can help matters by giving it a squeeze.

I've never needed a home-made header tank to bleed the system and I've done several coolant changes now... Strange...

Mind you, I've always done the bleed points the other way around; matrix first, then thermostat housing and then the radiator after the thermostat has opened.

Makes sense to me as the air will go to the highest point.

got it bled, took it round my mates and ran it for a bit, then undid the radiator bleed screw thing. f*cking loads of air in it. just have to flush all the rusty sludge out now!
