I've had a good thorough search and I believe my problem is the stepper motor.

When I dip the clutch, my revs occasionally drop very fast and the car will cut out. It always starts again but it's a very annoying problem.

I've cleaned the stepper motor up but this hasn't made any difference. My idle is very steady and it never hunts, so I was wondering if this would be the ICV?

And if so, are the GSF/Euro Car Parts ok to use?

Thanks.

forgive me if im wrong but i thought the ICV and the stepper were the same thing Unsure
But it certainly sounds like the problem is related, I would firstly find a member close to you that would 1) have a working stepper and 2) be willing to meet with you and let you try theirs.
at least this way you wont be spending money just to find out that its not hte stepper after all.

Mine very occasionally does this; I have never got to the bottom of it after cleaning and then replacing the stepper, and replacing too many components to mention Roll eyes

The things that reduced this the most were cleaning the inlet manifold (I replaced mine for a slightly polished one) and replacing the pipe from air intake to throttle body (it had split where the stepper pipe joins)

But like Pete says, first thing to do would be swap for a known working part Thumbs up

I too the stepper off, gave it a really good clean and refitted it.

Do you mean the locating hole where the stepper fits into?
