Sounds like the loose clip is either the seatbelt pretensioner or the side airbags.

Is your car a phase 1,2 or 3? If it's a phase 1 with a phase 3 interior that clip wouldnt plug into anything, but if it's a phase 3 it should be plugged in under the seat. If not your airbag light should be on.

Unless you've removed the bulb... LOL

i havent removed the bulb BUT tht dosent mean the previous owner didnt lol,, i think it is something of a safety feature will probably have to remove seat and search under the carpet for the other side of this cable ( damn 306) could this drain my battery or is it defo alternator shot

If the battery warning light is on when the engine is running there is defo a problem with the alternator, could be a wiring fault so check this before buying a new one.

check your cables have not corroded in the sheathing and broken and most of the time they brake away from the crimp lugs buddy.

If ok check how many amps you are geting from the alternator with a multimeter when the cars running.

No

Just onto the alternator first to make sure it's output is there in amps.

i kno this is going to sound obvious, but if the battery light is on all the time, could it not just be the fan belt tension, or worst case the belt could be broken hence no charge?? just a thought im no mechanic lol Razz
