Hi all,

I have a 205 gti-6 and i'm having starting issues.

On a decent charged battery it will start twice maybe, but after that it wont start. Doesnt try to turn it just sits there doing nothing.

If i come to jump start the car it will only jump from a booster pack or a running engine and not a battery

Can anyone take a guess at why it needs so much power to start? Could it be a started motor issue?

when the car does fire it only takes 1 turn of the key and never really have to keep turning it to start.

Check all the earths, especially the gearbox.
Also check the starter connection and battery terminals are tight.
