Are brake switches easy to fit? an how much do they normaly cost, i suspect this is the reason i have no brake lights, i have already checked the fuses an all the other lights work ________________________________________ More than happy with my re-mapped T5 |

If you are double jointed then yes! Get down in the footwell and look up at the steering column. Not sure on cost though as I've never heard of one failing. ________________________________________ GTI-6 & RallyeRallye gets sideways in the wet at Snetterton |

I've had one pop out of it's position but usually this results in the brake lights being "ON" all the time. It's a push to turn off setup. ________________________________________ GTI-6 & RallyeRallye gets sideways in the wet at Snetterton |

Take the vent out. Open the fuse box, drill the rivet out for the heater pipe, then pull the heater pipe out and put your hand down the hole to reposition the switch. If you look from below you can see where the switch is. ________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

My switch failed, got a new one and ended up taking the drivers seat out just so I could see what I was doing! Pop the drivers side vent out and reach in through there.Me and my mate looked like we'd been self harming, we were cut to shreds!! I knew a guy that worked on harriers which apparently are pigs, he kept getting called in off-watch as he had really skinny hands |
