Is this fairly straight forward?

i dont want to know why or why not to do it, just asking if it is viable, and problems encountered if any. Its from a 1905 alloy block.

want to use the Mi 88mm crank too, so i assume S16 rod/piston dimensions to be used, possibly go to 87mm bore yet though.

Basically i want to build up a decent spec motor, ie, T/Bs, management, cams, high comp, plus possibly the bore increase as well as stroke.

Ive been offered a Mi16 engine in boxes, the head has 1mm oversize valves and the porting/seat angles to match. Never used since done, was a spare for a 205 mi16 engined autograss car.

Also has anyone fitted the GTi6 exhaust manifold to the Mi head before, it has different stud arrangement.

Thanks Big grin

good plan, they'll go straight in there and give you a decent compression ratio, valve cutouts may need to be made deeper to run a worthwhile cam lift though.

can and has been done, not worth the effort though as you can get a 4 branch manifold to suit in most cases.
