Hi, I need some advice on something, I brought a hub from a seller on ebay specializing in Peugeot parts as it was labled up as a gti6 one, when I took the old one off to replace the hub I had been sent has a bigger sized hole that holds the lower arm to the hub. Just wanted to know what size hole the gti6 is as I think there is 2 sizes 16mm and 18mm?? Have I been sent a td one?________________________________________ Refurbing Cyclones Black work in progress!Phase 2 rear light conversion to go on. |

16mm will be P1 and some early P2 cars, the rest were 18mm. Did you tell the seller which size you needed?________________________________________ Seat Leon Cupra FR / 306 GTI6 / Breaking 205 GTI6 / Caterham 7 / Mercedes Sprinter 311CDI LWB Sold: Fisher Fury - Laguna DCI Estate - P1 306 XSI - E30 BMW 325i Baur Convertible - Daihatsu Fourtack - Suzuki GSXR600 - 205 Rallye |

Best to measure it as there is no certain way of telling otherwise. Also be aware that the non-pas models had shorter ball joint carriers so they'll screw up the alignment.I've been sold the non-pas ones before you see... ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Similar thing just happened to me too mate, bought a wishbone...wrong size emailed the seller to suggest describing which type he is selling ( i forget to ask lol)!Ended up going to ECP for the correct ball joint size for my hub...which was 18mm btw and i have a 98 on an 's'. ________________________________________ AX GT-XR2I-205 MI16-VX220-S2000-RX8-A4 Quattro-GTI-6-Clio 172 |

Be aware that the vast majority of people selling used vehicle parts on Ebay don't have a f*cking clue what they are selling most of the time. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. The thing is I won't mention any names but the seller I rather well known on here to so I was very surprised as the advert said phase1 gti6 hub which is exactly what I wanted but everybody makes mistakes.________________________________________ Refurbing Cyclones Black work in progress!Phase 2 rear light conversion to go on. |

The vast majority don't know what they're selling. Could be a genuine mistake, especially if the hubs removed from the car weren't the originals. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. This is true but a good seller like them should have checked this first, Advert said "Phase 1 gti6 o/s hub" and if you say all the phase 1's are 16mm i thought i had no reason to doubt the seller.________________________________________ Refurbing Cyclones Black work in progress!Phase 2 rear light conversion to go on. |

Ive just come across this as well - is there any way of telling without undoing the ball joint??Interestingly ECP didnt mention it when I asked them but Peugeot UK did - I guess it because the ECP arms come with ball joints so its not an issue? Ive got an R reg phase 2 GTI-6 BTW ________________________________________ Lots of Nissans, two 306 GTI-6's. They are catching up! |

Think the best thing is to hand over the reg of the car when ordering. Unless you buy second hand then your better to check to be safe. ________________________________________ Refurbing Cyclones Black work in progress!Phase 2 rear light conversion to go on. |

Sorry for late reply hainsey, i just bought the correct 18mm ball joint from ECP as the one i was sent was the wrong size and also had lots of upward/downward movement in it!Couldn't be bothered waitin for it to be collected then delivered. ECP were telling me it should be a 16mm hub though for my car! ________________________________________ AX GT-XR2I-205 MI16-VX220-S2000-RX8-A4 Quattro-GTI-6-Clio 172 |

You guys aren't reading whats been written are you?The reg won't tell you, ECP certainly can't tell you - only thing that will is to measure them. And measure both sides as well - they are french cars after all. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

Thats correct adam, tis what i done and the only way to be 100% sure. Peugeot could tell you what the size is meant to be but you never know if the hubs have been changed at some point.________________________________________ AX GT-XR2I-205 MI16-VX220-S2000-RX8-A4 Quattro-GTI-6-Clio 172 |
