just wanted to know is there much hassle putting a mi16 head with throttle bodies on my 2.0 8v xsi?

easy enough, you'll need to use Mi16 pistons.

Hi,
While you can physically put the 16V head on the 8V, it wont work out, quite a few differences.
You need the bottom end too.

not that many differences, same block and crank, just the rods and pistons you need to change.

When we contemplated on what to do with mine, we examined this possibility, but the water and oil ways seemed out of line - but that goes for the XU10J2 to XU10J4Z conversion. Have no clue about the 1.9L Mi16 block.

Not that old one again, As said all the XU's use the same one's, Maybe a slightly different shape between alloy and iron block's but thats it

I have a good bottom end from an 8 valve xsi with a brand new sump if anyone is interested, open to offers before i weight it in for scrap!
