^^^ depends what quality oil filter you have on the engine. IIRC the cheaper brands don't have bypass valves.i don't know anything about what kind of noises that would be heard, but i hope i helped! ________________________________________ Deepak Gohil |

yeah good plan! i would say that anything that could become a serious issue would have my attention. have you thought about taking the filter off and flushing it with some fresh oil and replacing it? cant do any harm and woulf rule it out with out spending any cash.________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |

I doubt very much that an oil filter would get blocked, the bottom end would be making very bad noises before that would happen.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

not since ive had it....it hasnt got its original engine though, has been written off twice & is generally a bit of a shitbox, I just cant stop loving it! We bought it smashed in 2007 and rebuilt it, I think thats why. The noise only started after we replaced the auxiliary belt & tensioner & idler (all genuine pug parts) ________________________________________ keep the machinery between the greeneryR766JKV nile blue gti6 - sold V634DLR black gti6 - sold Now driving a skoda furby vrs - for sale Currently piloting an Audi a3 sportback |
